Banishing the Baby Belly: Week 9

You know what? I'm taking a pass this week. That's right, I'm not getting on the scale.

You're allowed to do that every once in a while in Weight Watchers, if I'm remembering correctly. I had a bad week this week for a number of reasons. Plus, I ate heavily yesterday, so I know the scale's going to lie to me, so I'm just not. Going to do it, that is.

Instead, I'm going to finish eating my 100 calorie yogurt and take advantage of the fact that Tori's supposed to be napping to go for a run. Outside. Then I'm going to come back and put my gardens to bed for the winter.

And I'm not going to think about that dreaded scale at all. Do you believe me? Nah, me neither.

But I'm still not getting on. Not this week. I don't think I could take it if it's a bad number.

So that's me and my cop out. Anybody have anything to report this week?

  1. I didn't get on the scale this week either. 12 week challenge be damned, I'm tired. Very, very tired. Sometimes I think we put too much pressure on ourselves. For what?!

  2. You're right, Alex. Sometimes, something has to give. After all, our families don't care if we look like super models.

I did go for that run, though, even though I didn't want to. And it felt good. Now if only I can keep that motivation...

  3. I asked for a gym membership for Christmas. It should be fun...right now I have two baby bellies
    two children in two years!

  4. the hubby and I have both been rather stagnant in our weight loss goals but we both admitted to each other today that we've been eating our maintenance calories and not weight loss amounts. At least we aren't gaining.

  5. It's okay to have weeks like that, as long as they don't turn into a month like that. I however have gained 10.5 lbs since I got pregnant...I'll start banishing my baby belly come February!

  6. Hurrah for runs that feel great! Ugh. It is so gross out here the last three days, I have not been out of the house. And today? Haven't stepped foot outside. But, that probably has more to do with the fact I finished two bottles of wine with a dear friend of mine last night.

But, I managed to get .2 off my bod this week...

  7. Just a week without the scale is no reason to stress over it! I'm sure you're doing great! I need to get my behind moving again-this cold weather is making me lazy!

  10. Good for you! I hate scales. You deserve a break and it sounds like you're keeping healthy anyway with the yogurts and running. :)

  11. Don't go! I hate to weigh myself after a "big weekend". I know the number will depress me... still I cannot help myself. I get on the scale and then I go have some icecream just to make me feel better.... doesn't work! SO stuff that scale into your closet and don't take it out for a few days!

  13. I lost all my baby weight (and then some) through WW. It's the best. And don't think of it as cop out...I had many weeks I did not weigh in. Don't think of it as a start and end point...think of it as a lifestyle and just take it a meal at a time! Thanks for stopping by my blog!
